Our Well Kept Real Ales...

No visit to the Lake District would be complete without sampling at least one of the locally renowned Jennings ales, brewed locally in Cockermouth. Here at the Horse & Farrier, we always serve a wide selection of cask conditioned ales from this local brewery, as well as two guest beers from elsewhere in the country. There are usually six real ales served at any one time.

We also have Cask Marque accreditation - "for pubs that serve the perfect pint - a mark of excellent beer quality".

Jennings Bitter

A distinctively darker, medium strength bitter with a malty, nutty, yet mellow taste.
A very drinkable strength with a really more'ish taste, making it an ideal session beer for those seeking something distinctive.

Jennings Crag Rat
